MVA Direct LLC Text Messaging Terms and Conditions

MVA Direct LLC (“MVA Direct,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a referral management and patient navigation company. We are not a medical provider. We help patients navigate the motor vehicle accident (MVA) referral process by coordinating care between providers.

We may send transactional SMS/text messages to support care coordination. These messages are strictly for non-marketing purposes and may include:

  • Referral updates and provider coordination
  • Scheduling assistance and next-step instructions
  • Requests for additional information needed to complete referrals
  • Case status notifications related to motor vehicle accident care navigation

How We Obtain Consent

We obtain consent to send text messages in three ways:

1. Through Referring Providers Patients provide their phone number and consent to receive communications regarding their care directly to the referring healthcare provider (e.g., during intake or treatment authorization). When that provider shares the patient’s information with MVA Direct LLC for referral navigation and care coordination, we rely on the patient’s existing consent for treatment-related communications.

2. Through Our Website Forms (Direct Patient Submissions) Patients who are not yet connected to a provider may submit their information directly through our website forms at mvadirect.com. By entering their phone number and submitting the form, patients explicitly consent to receive SMS messages from MVA Direct LLC for the purpose of assisting with their motor vehicle accident referral navigation and care coordination.

3. By Phone (Direct Verbal Consent) When MVA Direct LLC contacts a patient by phone (e.g., after receiving a referral), our representative clearly explains who we are and the purpose of the texts. We then ask for the patient’s verbal permission to send occasional SMS updates. We only send texts after the patient provides explicit verbal consent during the call. We record the date, time, and patient’s response for our records.

In all three cases, we send an initial confirmation text message that clearly identifies MVA Direct LLC, explains the purpose of the messages (care navigation and referral coordination only), discloses that message and data rates may apply, and offers an immediate opportunity to opt out by replying STOP. This first message serves as notice and allows the patient to revoke consent right away if desired.

Consent is not a condition of receiving services from any provider. Patients may revoke consent at any time.

Message Frequency

Messages are event-driven and low-volume. Patients typically receive 1–5 messages per referral case as it progresses. Message frequency may vary depending on the needs of the individual case.

Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. MVA Direct does not charge for the text messages themselves.

Opt-Out Instructions

You can stop receiving text messages from MVA Direct at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. After opting out, you will receive one final confirmation message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You may also contact us directly to opt out.
